Pork and Glass Noodle Patties
Enjoy these patties as a snack or serve them with rice. They’re packed with protein and lower in sodium because Kitchi Sauce is the only seasoning you need.
Ingredients
Minced pork 200g
Glass noodles (soaked in water until soft) 50g
1 egg
Kitchy Sauce 3–4 tbsp
Cornstarch 1 tbsp
Crispy frying flour 2 tbsp
Sam Gler (pounded garlic, black pepper, and coriander root) 1 tbsp
A little oil for frying or pan-searing
Instructions
Pound the "Three Buddies" (garlic, black pepper, and coriander roots) together until fine.
Cut the soaked, softened glass noodles into short strands.
Mix the minced pork with the "Three Buddies" first, then add the glass noodles, egg, and cornstarch into the bowl.
Season with just one bottle of Kitchy Sauce, then mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Marinate the mixture for about 15 minutes to let the flavors absorb into the pork.
Apply a little oil to your hands, shape the pork into bite-sized balls, and then lightly dust the shaped pork balls with crispy frying flour.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the pork balls until cooked through and beautifully golden brown on all sides, then scoop them out and drain the oil.
Heat a little oil in a pan over low heat. Add Kitchy Sauce and simmer until it bubbles. Put the fried pork balls back in, tossing them until they are thoroughly coated with the sauce, and serve.
Soft pork balls mixed with chewy glass noodles, aromatic, delicious, and well-rounded. Easy to cook with just one bottle of Kitchy Sauce. Enjoy it as a snack or serve with hot steamed rice—it's so delicious you'll forget this recipe was made with a low-sodium sauce!
