Spicy Pork Patty Salad
These pork patties are simply seasoned with just one bottle of Kitchi Sauce, cooked in an air fryer, and tossed with classic Thai salad ingredients. The result is a bold, protein-packed dish that is both delicious and wholesome—a must-try recipe!
Ingredients
Ingredients for the Pork Patties
400 g minced pork
3–4 tbsp Kitchi Sauce, or adjust according to your sodium goals
2 coriander roots
4–5 garlic cloves
½ tsp pepper
Ingredients for the Thai Salad
3–4 shallots, sliced
Sliced bird’s eye chilies, to taste
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
1–2 tbsp lime juice, or to taste
Instructions
Prepare the aromatic paste by pounding the coriander roots, garlic, and pepper together until finely ground.
Place the minced pork in a mixing bowl. Add Kitchi Sauce and the aromatic paste, then knead until thoroughly combined. Marinate for approximately 15 minutes.
Shape the pork into bite-sized patties and flatten them slightly to ensure they cook quickly and evenly.
Arrange the patties in the air fryer, leaving space between each one. Cook at 170°C for approximately 15 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Adjust the cooking time according to their size and thickness.
Prepare the salad mixture by combining the sliced shallots, chilies, cilantro, and lime juice.
Add the cooked pork patties to the salad mixture and toss gently until evenly coated.
Transfer to a plate, garnish with additional cilantro if desired, and serve immediately.
These air-fried pork patties are tender and satisfying, with tangy, spicy flavors and the aroma of fresh herbs and coriander-root paste. They’re easy to season using only Kitchi Sauce, eliminating the need for multiple condiments. Air-fried instead of deep-fried, they make a delicious snack or a flavorful dish served with steamed rice.
